Becoming an official YouTube Certified company is quite an accomplishment. Not simply because you have to be among the best in the business to attain certification, but while the intensive training program remains in beta participation is by invitation only.
To put the Vidpow achievement into perspective we should mention there are only 111 certified companies in the country. These include such media giants as CBS, Fox Sports, and Warner Bros. The Dallas startup joins this exclusive group as one of only four companies listed as a YouTube consultant.
What is YouTube Certification?
The YouTube Certified training program offers online marketing professionals an opportunity to learn best practices in channel management. Certification is available in several specific areas. Subjects include Audience Growth, Digital Rights, Production, and the Youtube Content ID system.
Once hand-picked for participation in the certification program, the company must have at least three employees who have successfully completed comprehensive training and passed an exam, to demonstrate their knowledge and skill.
Members of the Vidpow team have successfully completed a series of intensive day-long training sessions, learning about:
- YouTube Platform and Channel Strategy
- Content Strategies for Sustainable Viewership
- Audience Development Strategy and Methods
- Multi-Channel Network Best Practices
- Copyright
- Monetization and Partner Sales
- Rights Management
Successful completion of all required training within the Youtube Certification curriculum sends a clear message to prospective clients and partners. Those who are certified have a deep understanding of the intricacies of the ecosystem and core technologies of the world’s largest video sharing site.
What do you gain with YouTube Certification?
Graduates receive designation as a YouTube Certified company or individual and gain access to new and updated educational tracks. They are also authorized to display the YouTube Certified badge on their website and marketing materials.
