It’s hard to believe that PubCon 2015 is less than two months away (October 5-8 in Las Vegas), but it’s even
harder more amazing to think how so many of the speakers are board members and ambassadors of DFWSEM!
To help jog your memory and help you spot them in a sea of attendees and speakers, we’ve compiled a list of all the PubCon speakers affiliated with DFWSEM.
We’ve also included their Twitter handles so you can follow them online even if you don’t make it out to PubCon (but let’s face it, you should be following all of these amazing industry experts anyway).
With over 10 years of experience in digital marketing and strategic planning, James Loomstein is a force to be reckoned with in the SEO world. He currently sits on the board of DFWSEM, is a member of the Dallas Social Media Club, and serves as an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University.
Over time, James has worked with some large brands such as Alcon, Boston’s, Lone Star Park, and Marriott to name a few. He is dedicated to helping clients and customers plug into our connected world, while balancing work and a family with two young children.
If you’re in the automotive industry and want to learn more about local SEO, Greg Gifford is the guy for you. As the Director of Search and Social at DealerOn, he oversees the search engine optimization for all of their Elite SEO Client websites, making sure they rank as high as possible in local search.
He is also an international speaker at both automotive and pure SEO conferences, sharing his vast pool of knowledge with thousands of small business owners, marketers, and anyone else interested in local SEO — he stands out from the crowd of speakers with his signature presentations complete with movie stills and references who many find both entertaining and insightful.
Greg is currently a member of the Board of Directors for DFWSEM, where he collaborates with some of the best and brightest minds in digital marketing and SEO to promote best practices for search engine marketing.
Bill Hartzer is a stalwart champion for SEO and digital marketing, have worked in the industry now for over 18 years. In fact, he holds the distinction of being one of the original founders of DFWSEM, and he is a frequent speaker and panel participant at a variety of conferences — including PubCon and Search Engine Strategies.
In addition to serving as the Senior SEO Strategist at Globe Runner and his busy speaking circuit, Bill is a regular contributor to several online publications including Search Engine Watch and Search Engine Guide. If you’ve read anything about SEO or search engine marketing from the past decade, chances are it was written by him! He also maintains his own blog over at his website, BillHartzer.com, which is an excellent resource for all things digital marketing.
With a company name like Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, it’s hard to forget the charismatic force that is Joe Youngblood. He’s been involved with website development and marketing since he was 14 years old, and his passion for the industry has only grown stronger over the years. In 2010, he graduated with a Marketing Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, and he’s honed his craft from working in a plethora of industries, and his websites have been featured on CNN, FOX News, CBS News, NBC, curse.com, and Wired Magazine.
In terms of pure SEO, Joe has a laser-focus on predicting the trends of digital marketing and the twists and turns the industry will inevitably take. Dan Sturdivant is a digital marketing pro with 20+ years of industry experience, including SEO, PPC, SEM, and Direct Response Creative. As the Senior Account Manager at Speakeasy, he brings all of his knowledge to a crux, where he manages several teams and clients across multiple projects and disciplines.
His role at Speakeasy has also enabled him to create a supportive team environment that encourages risk taking, while challenging members to exceed “normal” expectations. He is also on hand to provide expert advice to both his clients and his staff on the latest SEO trends, best practices, and ideal solutions.
Kevin Adams is a PPC expert with more than 10 years of paid search experience. He has honed his skills in Google AdWords, Google Analytics, and Bing Ads, and has managed a variety of accounts — ranging from local service clients to large mortgage companies.
In his role at RankHammer, Kevin has been able to further hone his craft across a multitude of verticals, all while providing the latest search engine marketing tips and trends to his clients. His number one mission is helping his clients make money with Pay-per-Click advertising, and his successful track record proves he’s got the skills and know-how.
After working nearly a decade in digital marketing, Damon Gochneaur has an extensive background in B2B lead generation and affiliate marketing. He’s the former Director of Marketing for Globe Runner SEO and former Lead SEO at Online Performance Marketing, but has since founded his own company to help both local service businesses and international brands.
Damon is also Google AdWords and Analytics certified, and he currently serves as a board member for DFWSEM. In his own words, he’s a “Jack of all trades, master of few,” but that’s really selling him short. He’s a pro in the business, and treats his clients like family — and few could rival his style and beard (save, perhaps, for Greg Gifford)!
Mike Stewart’s search engine marketing career started back in 2000, when he took a job with Verizon Information Services (aka, SuperPages.com). Since then, he has worked to refine his skills as a digital marketing guru, working for more than a decade to help local businesses excel in their digital marketing efforts through multi-channel and online marketing strategies.
He currently serves as the VP of Sponsorships for DFWSEM, as well as a Committee Chair for SEMPO NTX. He is also the founder of his own full-service integrated marketing agency. In other words, he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to SEO — and he’s one of the friendliest guys you’ll ever meet.
As the President and co-founder of RankHammer — a full-service search marketing agency — Steve Hammer works with his team to provide SEO and PPC in some of the most lucrative and competitive industries. Prior to starting RankHammer, he was the Director of Search for ACE Cash Express, and the General Manager of Stir.
Going even further back, Steve earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from Clemson, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, making him one of the brightest minds in the industry. He’s also Google Certified, and currently serves as a board member for DFWSEM.
Beginning her digital marketing career in 2005 at CircuitCity.com, Susan Wenograd hit the ground running, learning all about the inner-workings of the industry at what used to be a Fortune 500 company. Since then, she’s taken on a host of other roles and responsibilities, including in-house PPC management and agency leadership.
Susan has worked with clients from small local businesses, all the way up to major brands like General Motors. She also has a prolific online presence, writing for several industry blogs and websites, and she participates frequently in the #PPCChat on Twitter. You might have seen her speak too, as she gives PPC presentations at several conferences per year.
With 15 years of experience in public relations and communications, Tim Wagner has worked in-house with business giants such as American Airlines and Walmart. However, over the past 4 years, he and his team at WrightIMC have developed custom, integrated online marketing plans for their clients.
Tim’s PR background has given him the knowledge and know-how to compose personality-driven content to advertise his clients’s goods and services, resulting in content that attracts potential customers and keeps existing customers coming back for more.
Sean Jackson is a power-house in the digital marketing industry. As a founding partner of Copyblogger Media, he’s had a hand in forming some of the best online products and services, including copyblogger.com, StudioPress/Genesis, Third Tribe, and Scribe SEO. In fact, he’s also the CFO of Scribe SEO, and is responsible for their line of online products.
Wearing the moniker of the “Geek that Speaks,” Sean is dedicated to sharing his knowledge of technology and showing how it can intersect and advance the world of marketing. He does this not only by speaking at industry events and conferences, but by serving in leadership roles in the Dallas business community, including the DFW Search Marketing Association and the Dallas Ad League, the latter of which he is a Past President.
If you’re looking for the king of online crisis management and brand reputation strategy, look no further than Tony Wright. With over 10 years of hands-on, strategic experience in interactive marketing, as well as a background in interactive PR and journalism, he is a true expert in his field. With this experience, Tony has spent his career at WrightIMC building teams of search engine marketers who work with Fortune 500 and mid-level clients to strengthen their interactive advertising and digital marketing strategies.

She was the 2014 Vice President of Public Relations for DFWSEM, and she served as a founding board member for the Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization (SEMPO).
At KeyRelevance, a full-service search engine marketing company, she and her team work with companies of all sizes, working to improve their clients’ online presence to help them gain more traffic and earn more conversions. Her company does this through organic search and PPC, as well as social media marketing.
