Students around the World Will Be Introduced to Coding This Week
Hour of Code is a global movement to get tens of millions of students learning how to write basic code. There are over 74,000 Hour of Code events scheduled around the world this week including many Dallas area schools. Even Apple stores are hosting Hour of Code training events, but the events booked up almost instantly and no DFW area store has any available slots.
Here is some good news: The non-profit free-for-everyone online Khan Academy has announced they are providing three Hour of Code lessons you can take advantage of:
- Hour of Drawing with Code
- Hour of Webpages
- Hour of Databases
If you aren’t already signed up for Khan Academy it is a great learning resource on many subjects. Especially helpful if a student needs additional tutoring in a particular subject. Click here to Try an Hour of Code with Khan Academy. Did we mention it’s free?
In the world of digital marketing it helps to at least have some basic coding knowledge. There is no age limit on the Khan Academy tutorials so even if you’re no longer a traditional student it’s never to late to learn some new skills.
