Shannon Gross and Taylor Stern on running social for “America’s Team”

Dallas Cowboys movers and shakers Shannon Gross and Taylor Stern to lift the lid on the Cowboys’ social media playbook at this month’s joint meeting of DFWSEM and SM Dallas.
It’s October, and that means this month’s DFWSEM gathering will be the last official meeting date for the year. You know what that means, right? It’s time to go BIG, because nobody here is ready yet to call time on 2016 and go home.
We’ve switched it up and switched the date
So move that marker on your DFWSEM calendar to October 20th. We’ve pulled together another massive opportunity to hang out with our friends at #SMDallas for our long-awaited joint meeting as two leading lights of the Dallas Cowboys social media team step up to present The Changing Face of Social.
You’ll learn what it takes to build a social media department for a behemoth brand like the Dallas Cowboys as Shannon Gross takes you back to the very beginning.
Shannon built the Cowboy’s social media machine from scratch, and we can guarantee he’s pretty much seen and done it all since then. Get set to steal some plays as he walks you through the highs and lows, the wins and losses.
Listen carefully as he answers all those questions you’ve always wanted to ask. Everything from failed plays and clever end runs, to increasing hang time on social content.
Y’all, this guy has been there since the beginning and he’ll take you on a journey from inception and evolution to current day strategy and execution.
Sound like fun? Like to do it yourself?
We honestly wouldn’t be surprised by the time Shannon’s finished, if you’ve decided sports social is the place for you. But that’s OK, because Taylor Stern is all set to walk you through what it’s like working in social media for a massive sports brand, how to prepare yourself for the role and how to get your hands on that coveted job.
Taylor will tell us how she landed her current position at the Dallas Cowboys, and how her role has rapidly changed over the year she’s been with the team.
Hanging Out With Social Media Dallas
Every year we schedule a joint meeting event with our friends at SMDallas. We know you were disappointed when we had to cancel the joint meeting scheduled earlier in the year. So we just couldn’t pass up this opportunity to hang out with them and hear how the Dallas Cowboys do social!
Of course it’s SMDallas’ turn to host the get-together in 2016, so that means we’re headed to Angelika Theater at Mockingbird Station for the event.
Check in at 6pm, catch up with old friends and make a few new ones, then get yourself settled in time for a 6:45 pm start.
Trust us, you don’t want to miss a minute, and neither will your colleagues. In fact, we’d love you to bring them along. Be sure to spread the word and remember, first-timers get to attend one DFWSEM meeting for free. Just register with the code BIGBANG and you’re on your way to scoring a touchdown!
And while we’re in a sporty mood, there’s more…since this will be our last official meeting of 2016, we want to turn up the atmosphere for this one.
Wear your favorite jersey to the meeting and get set for some extra fun throughout the evening. Wondering what kind of fun? Hey, great coaches never reveal their game plan, do they?
Remember, the date is different, the venue is different, but the great people, great time and fantastic opportunity to learn from the best experts around will be just the same! See you at Angelika Theater, 6:00pm on Thursday 20th October.
