Search engines are generally considered a direct response vehicle. However, smart marketers can realize the value of search branding. Companies that may not be as widely recognized can, in a moments notice, gain the immediate “top of mind awareness” simply by associating themselves with a group of popular search terms. With the proper amount of exposure, these companies can gain the reach and frequency necessary to create strong brand awareness, without the vast expense of traditional national marketing expenditures.
This topic will explore the AMA’s definition of branding and how search can help increase brand equity. Or, how search branding can help a lesser known companies gain awareness and establish an identity for certain industry categories.
