Search and social are becoming one unified discipline, with real-time content being one of its main connective elements. However, most marketers silo their search and social practices, and are missing the full opportunities they could be achieving.  The solution is to harness the two through organizational change, merging of disciplines and technologies to help capture the full opportunity for content marketing strategy. This talk will cover the following points:

– How are companies redefining themselves as publishers, and what is the new definition of publishing?

– How has the digital landscape changed, and why is an interdependent search and social content strategy now imperative for businesses?

– What are specific tips/tricks companies can do to harness the power of search and social with content?

– Why is search a strategic component of real-time content marketing, and not a tactical one?

– What are the new characteristics of interdependent search and social strategy, and does an enterprise begin to approach them?

– Why will some companies who ignore real-time content marketing eventually die off, while other new businesses emerge and dominate?

– What is the “real-time user experience”?

Rob will also cover the new world of social linking, and talk a little bit about his new book, “Search and Social: The Definitive Guide to Real-Time Content Marketing.”

Don’t get left behind with old tactics.   Listen to one of the leaders in content marketing talk about scalable and sustainable content strategies.  This is not a presentation to be missed.

About Brett Tabke

Brett Tabke has worked in the computer industry for three decades. Tabke is currently the CEO and founder of WebmasterWorld Inc. He was also the founder of PHD Software Systems, a specialty software manufacture that produced a line of software for Commodore computers in the 80’s and 90’s.

Tabke has run community networking sites continuously since 1984. The evolution from stand-alone BBS’s to forums on the web and his commitment to community building is a logical extension for Brett. He quickly became an expert on the subject of Internet traffic, and was a source of information for many of his business contacts and associates who were looking to get better traffic from the search engines.

Tabke coined several SEO staples as “Link Farm”, “SEO Themes”, and the classic “SERP” (Search Engine Results Page). He was also featured in the Biography Channel special on the Google founders. Tabke was also a founding board member of SEMPO. He also wrote a chapter for the best selling “Google Hacks” book. He is also the first known person to have fully decoded the Excite and most of the Altavista search engine algos. Analytics is the tool all website owners take for granted. It gives us the numbers that let us brag about awesome SEO results or how many people fail to progress off of the home page. Done right, analytics is more than just a scoreboard, it’s a detailed view of customer behavior that offline businesses could only dream about. The trick is knowing how to go deeper in the tools than just the dashboard.

The DFWSEM will be using the next meeting to talk about how to get the most out of your analytics program. We will go under the hood with two real experts in analytics to talk about maximizing the insights out of this vital tool.

Leading us for the meeting will be Tyson Kirksay and Jennifer Day.

Tyson is Director of SEM and analytics at Vertical Nerve. Tyson is a data-junkie by nature, and labeled “intense” by a longtime client. He often gets passionate about online marketing performance and measurement. He is certified with Google Analytics, Google AdWords and Microsoft AdCenter.

It’s time to take a peek under the hood at what makes SEO really work. No matter if you’ve been spared the ire of Panda and Penguin or are trying to regain rankings, this is not a session you will want to miss. Some of the best SEOs in Dallas will be on hand to show how they view a website and offer improvement tips. Expect an interactive walkthru of some insider tools with some audience member’s sites. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear the tips of these SEOs for your site.

Leading us through the site clinic will be both Mark Barrera and Eric McGehearty.

Profiled in the both the Denton Record Chronicle and Dallas Morning News, Eric is known as a Renaissance Man.
